The record set is 17 inches in 24 hours, though many areas have more than the official, of course. I measured our snow along the snow-blowed path in the back yard below, and it actually is exactly 17 inches. Areas to the east and west of us have 30+ inches! The whole area is nearly shut down, with people like me with low-riding cars, stranded at our houses. Just thankful to have electricity, heat and cable TV!

Hoo-cheee mama...that's a lot of snow! And that's coming from Minnesotans who have seen their fair share of it. Reminds me of our Halloween storm back in 91 in which we got 29 inches in 24 hours. Glad you have electricity and heat.
On a positive side, at least you're going to have a white Christmas! Now let's see you get out there and make snowmen like we used to make in your backyard in ND way back when! Jane & Don
